Ruben Verdin

Ruben S. Verdin ""El Tatis"" Age 80 At rest Wednesday October 20, 2010 with his family by his side. Born in Los Angeles, CA. Raised in San Francisco Del Rincon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Resident of Joliet since July of 1955. He is survived by his wife Juanita and his children Lorena (Mark) Singletary, Ernesto; Duval (Monica); his grandchildren Paloma, Milena and Marcos Singletary, Gabriela, Duval Jr. and Christopher Verdin. His sister Elisa of Santa Ana CA, his brothers Jose of San Francisco Del Rincon and Jesus Roberto of Joliet, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Petra Verdin and his siblings Juan and Guadalupe. Original member of Joliet Futbol Club. Avid fan of the game of Soccer.
A Celebration of Ruben"s life will be held on Saturday, October 23 with prayers at the funeral home at 11:15 AM, then in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lockport for a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 8 PM.
