RoseMarie Garza

Age 58 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at home with her family by her side.

Born January 6, 1962 in Joliet, RoseMarie was a daughter of Michael and Dolores (Arellano) Martinez. RoseMarie was raised and educated in Joliet and worked as a personal banker for a number of years until transitioning to Home Depot with the service department where she made numerous friends. In her free time, RoseMarie enjoyed relaxing at home and watching her favorite shows on TV, especially during the winter. She lived for her family and friends, and her grandchildren were her world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

RoseMarie is survived by her daughter: Sonjia (Jonathan) Lukas; grandchildren: Alejandro, Christian, Izabella, Natalja and Enrique Lukas; great-granddaughter: Ruth Katherine “Mammas”; sisters: Rosalyn (Carlos) Bedolla and Mary (Ricardo) Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and dearest friend: Annie Meyers.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Michael and Dolores, and brothers: Francis “Kiko” Martinez and Michael Martinez.

Per RoseMarie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
