Rose Eileen (Burzinski) Plut

Rose Eileen Plut (nee Burzinski), age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital.

Rose is survived by her loving children, Karen (Richard Getson) Rocush and Bernie Plut; grandson, Peter Alex Rocush; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Plut (1988); parents, Joseph Burzinski and Ida (nee Gans) Steyer; sister, Joanne (Charles) Huminsky; and brother, Raymond (Judith) Burzinski.

Rose was a devout woman of faith and a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale and past member in their CCW.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all who have provided excellent compassion and care to Rose over the years; especially, Linda Hushaw, Vicki Mancke, Dr. Govind Ramadurai, Patty Petersen and Alison Burchardt, Dr. Jason Suh, Rainbow Hospice and 8th floor staff at St. Joseph Hospital.

A celebration of Rose’s life will begin on Friday, February 9, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
