Rose Fonseca (nee Meyers)

February 24, 1916 — January 11, 2008

Age 91 Passed away peacefully on Friday January 11, 2008 at her home. Born February 24, 1916 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Survived by her brother Louis (Rose) Meyers, one niece Nancy Lou Meyers Grandchildren Jon DiSanto and Mia McDermatt, Great Grandchild Danielle Schlink, Caretakers Alma Diaz, Jesse and Joann Fonseca.

Preceded in death by her Son Alexander Meyers her Parents Adam and Helen (nee Dragaon) Meyers and her Brother Alex Meyers.

Rose Sang on WLS radio at the age of 16 also sang on W.J.O.L radio in the 40"s. Worked at the U.S. Steel Mill in Chicago & Joliet Arsenal. Was a nurse at Silver Cross Hospital of 30yrs and Retired from there. Was active in the Pan American Club and Maney Practical Nurse"s Organizations Rose was also an Interpreter, she spoke several Languages.

In Lieu of flowers donations to Joliet Hospice in her name would be appreciated.

from where prayer services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 am to St. John Church of Joliet for a Mass of the Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10:00 am Interment St. John Cemetery Visitation Monday from 3:00pm to 7:00 pm
