Rose M. (nee Lobas) Kezele, age 96, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
Rose is survived by her children, Janis Passehl and Dr. Gary Kezele; grandchildren, Robert (Sheila) and Janine (Ron Gruber) Passehl; great-grandchildren, Savonnah, Ella, Ava, Elias and Lyla Passehl; brother, Joseph Lobas and sister-in-law, Rose Spolarich. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Rudolph L. Kezele; parents, George and Elizabeth (nee Vezonik) Lobas and nine siblings.
Rose was born on May 26, 1922 and a lifelong resident of Joliet.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice or to the St. Joseph Church Organ Restoration Fund.
The family would like to thank Marguerite and Margie from Joliet Area Community Hospice and Rose’s caregiver Kathy for their assistance and compassion.
A celebration of Rose’s life will begin on Monday, June 4, 2018 with a memorial visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, II from 10:00 a.m. until the time for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Rose will be laid to rest at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery at a later date.
Per Rose’s wishes, cremation rites have been respectfully accorded.
There will be no services at the funeral home.
