Rose Darguzis

Rose Darguzis nee Raspolich Age 86 of Rockdale, passed away on March 13, 2006, at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving daughters after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Rose was the youngest daughter and the fifth of seven children, born to Matthew and Catherine Raspolich. She married John Darguzis on July 19, 1941, at St. Mary's Nativity Church in Joliet. She was a resident of Rockdale and an active member of St. Joseph Church, Rockdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (1999); a daughter, Roseanne (infancy); her parents, Matthew and Catherine Raspolich; sisters, Mary Belasich, Anne Belasich, Millie Verbic; brothers, John and Joseph; and son-in-law, Jack Behringer. Rose is survived by her daughters, Jan (Don) Gould, Kathy (Mike) Cimino and Mary Lynn Behringer; a brother, Frank Raspolich and sister-in-law, Sophie Raspolich; grandchildren, Don (Cindy) and Bridget Gould, Kristi Williams and Michael (Erin) Cimino, John (Jill) and Mary Katherine Behringer; great-grandchildren, Drew and Joseph Gould, Meaghan and Madisyn Williams, Caine, Cole and McKenna Cimino, Jack and Matthew Behringer; and numerous nieces and nephews. To the many family members and friends whose lives were touched by Rose, we celebrate her life by remembering all the wonderful times shared with her. Her legacy of faith in God, strength of character, and most of all, her unconditional loved for her family will live on. Memorials made to the Friends of Sunny Hill Nursing Home or the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
