Ronald R. Pilz

Ronald R. Pilz, 71, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors in Minnesota and also loved working on his daughter Amy’s farmette. Ron had a love for his grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as his four legged friend Daisy.  Ron was a proud Union 161 Cement Mason. He unapologetically hated Trump to the end.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Mary Pilz.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 50 years Bonnie, daughters: Amy (Adam) Luce, Rebecca (Michael) Perino; grandchildren: Kylie Mannoja, Jacob Mannoja, Rachael Perino, Savannah Perino; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Ava, Kyllian, Quinn and Ayden. Also surviving him are his siblings: Debra (Bill) Walden and Greg (Geri) Pilz.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet,IL. Per Ron’s wishes cremation will follow.
