Ronald O. Ehrsam, aged 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of his home, where he enjoyed countless moments crafting his passions. He was a true jack of all trades, leaving a legacy of creativity and dedication to his various home projects.
Ronald's love for woodworking was a testament to his skill and passion. His creations stood as a reflection of his meticulous craftsmanship and the joy he found in expressing himself through the art of woodworking. His hands brought life to his visions, leaving behind cherished pieces that will be treasured by those who knew him.
A true enthusiast for holidays, Ronald held a special admiration for Halloween, where his creative spirit shone brightly. Known for going all out in celebration, he added a touch of magic and joy to the festivities, creating lasting memories for family and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty, and two sons, Terry and Ron, as well as his parents, Oliver and Teresa Ehrsam. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted children: Joseph (Cheryl) Ehrsam, Cynthia "Sam" (Tony) Galloway, and Mark (Kathi) Ehrsam. His grandchildren, Emily (Gregg) Globke, April Galloway, Cody and Zac Ehrsam, and Paige and Jacob Ehrsam, will forever carry his legacy forward. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchild, Quinn Globke.
Graveside services to celebrate Ronald's life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1320 E Cass St, Joliet, IL. Cremation was in accordance with his wishes. As we gather to bid farewell, let us remember Ronald for the joy he brought to our lives and the enduring impact of his creativity and love. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved wife and sons in eternal serenity.
