“Scrapper Ron”

Age 54 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet with family by his side.

Born July 27, 1966 in Joliet, Ron was a son of William and Audrey (Placher) Pasdertz. He was raised and educated in Joliet and got his start with the family business, Riverside Garage, as a mechanic’s helper. Following his time at the Garage, Ron went on to do some carpentry work and then became a butcher for C.P. Meat Market in New Lenox. After his time at the meat market, Ron returned to Riverside to work alongside his brother Bill.

Ron lived his life to the fullest. He loved music. The louder, the better! Ron was also a motorcycle and car enthusiast. His main love was his family, especially his two sons, Andrew and Jakob. They were his light that kept him going. Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two sons: Andrew Pasdertz (Sam Iverson) and Jakob Pasdertz; forever love and mother of his children: Chelly Pasdertz; siblings: William (Deborah) Pasdertz, Sandy (Ken) Lofton, Joseph (Danette) Pasdertz, Kenneth Reeves, Dawn (Chris) Baham, and Jeffery Reeves (Stacy Parks), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents: William and Audrey; grandmother: Margaret Pasdertz; sister, Kathleen Pasdertz; niece: Bianca Pasdertz, and nephew: Joseph Pasdertz.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

Per Ron’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services.

He will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Joliet at a later date.
