Roelof W. J. Romberg ""Rudy"" Age 68. At rest Friday, September 2, 2005 at his home with his family by his side. Preceded by a daughter, Robin Rogers; his parents, Gerald and Alida (nee Van De Koppel) Romberg. Survived by three daughters, Shirley (Michael) O'Carroll, Alida (Scott) Evenson and Patricia (Joseph) Baller; eight grandchildren, Trisha, Antonio, Christina, Duane, Eric, Stephanie, Patrick and Ethan;two great grandchildren, Anastasia and Madison; three brothers, Fred ""Dutch"", Jack and Ben Romberg; a sister, Bea Romberg; and his best friend, William ""Wild Bill"" Rodgers. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Rudy was born in Den Haag, Holland and came to the United States with his family at the age of 16. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1982 after over 30 years of dedicated service. Rudy was an avid collector and labeler. Rudy was loved dearly, and will be sadly missed by all of his family, friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice, in his name, would be appreciated.
