Bob passed away June 27, 2023, with his family at his side, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Sr. and Geraldine (Arnold) Woodhead, and daughter Jill Woodhead. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Chamberlin) Woodhead, son Sean Senffner, daughter Rebecca (Brad) Lindskog, grandchildren Lucy and Abraham Lindskog, sisters Joye (Dan) Russo and Lisa (Tim) St. Claire, and brother David (Laurie) Woodhead, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends Tim Fisk and Frank Steinhauer.
Robert A. Woodhead Jr. was born January 29, 1958, to Robert A. Woodhead Sr. and Geraldine in Bangor, Maine. He was a graduate of Minooka Community High School, and earned his bachelors degree at Cal State Fullerton.
After working his way through college as a carpenter, Bob incorporated his own custom home building company, which he would lead for over 3 decades. He would build hundreds of homes in the Will-Grundy area, in addition to many other smaller projects. He was an active member of the local homebuilders association, serving a term as its president, and was respected by everyone in the building community.
In 1985 Bob would marry Nancy, whose son Sean would be soon joined by daughters Rebecca and Jill. His family would always be his priority, and his hard work would both provide for them and provide an example of how to live.
Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, over the years playing football, baseball, softball, hockey, and golf. He was a long time Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox fan, and enjoyed watching and attending professional golf tournaments. Bob loved the outdoors and spent many hours camping, hiking, swimming, and especially bicycling.
