Robert C. Saxton Age 88
At rest Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his late residence.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 65 years, Eleanor (nee Evans); son Richard (Nancy) Saxton of Algonquin; and daughters Sue Cattaneo, and Barbara Saxton, both of Crest Hill. Also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bob served proudly as a pilot in the Army Air Force in WW II, serving in Africa, Corsica, and the Balkans. Retired from Texaco as Midwest Sales Manager after 33 years of service, Bob loved to travel, spend time with his family, and follow the fortunes of the Chicago Cubs.
A Celebration of Bob"s Life will be held on April 16, 2010, beginning with a memorial visitation from 10 AM until a service at 11 AM, followed by a procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded. Cremation rites have been accorded.
