Robert J. "Bob" Rymsza Sr., age 66, passed peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2014 with his loving family by his side.
Survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Linda Rymsza (nee Juricic); children, Amanda (Erik) Brown, Stephanie (fiancAC., Michael Schronski) Rymsza, and Robert Rymsza, Jr.; mother, Evelyn Rymsza (nee Birmingham) of Missouri; sister, Judy (Paul) Svendsen of Missouri; brother-in-law, Larry (Valerie) Juricic; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Larry) Magolan, and Donna (Ray) Randich all of Joliet; nephews and nieces, Troy, Taylor, and Tara Price, Luke Juricic, Ben and Jessica Magolan, Zak, Lauren, and Daniel Randich all of Joliet, and Jan (Jeff) Bain, Greg Svendsen, Trish (Kevin) Feeney, and Ginny (Mike) Kempf all of Missouri.
Preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Rymsza; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore and Lillian (nee Valek) Juricic.
Bob was a graduate of JTHS in 1966. He was in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1969-1972, when he was honorably discharged. He is a member of the American Legion, Harwood Post #5.
Retired in April 2013 from Dr. Pepper Snapple Group after 40 years of service as a transportation driver, who drove over 3,900,000 miles.
Bob enjoyed endless weekends at Wilmington Recreation Club camping and fishing with his family. His greatest joy was spending countless hours fishing in the boat with his children and winning numerous fishing contests. Bob also enjoyed the Lake Erie fishing trips and euchre games with close family and friends.
His entire family offers their gratitude to Drs. Waszak, Gunderson, Mihalakakos, Winkleman, Walsh, Cziperle, and Gustafson and their staffs; to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, 4th floor ICU staff; and Dr. J.D. Wright and the staff at Hospice for all of the care that was provided to Bob these past 6 months.
To the many family and friends who constantly visit and give endless words of encouragement, support, and love to Bob and our family, thank you.
A thank you also to everyone at Kavanagh, Grumley, and Gorbold, Family Medical Group, Hobby Lobby, and Romeoville Fire Department for their continued support during our most difficult time.

A Celebration of Bob's life will begin on Friday, December 12, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
