At rest Friday June 26 ,2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with his children at his side. Loving father of Robert W. (Pam) Popovich, Jennifer R. (Ian) Blazekovich and Scott Popovich, dearest grandfather of Drew Popovich, Brady Kostecki and Brooke, Lorenzo and Tony Blazekovich, parents Rita (nee Brooks) Willard and George Popovich, step sister Patti (Scott) Cruise and dear friend Diane Connell of Tomball, Texas and her children. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Robert was born in Joliet resided in Houston, Texas for the past twenty eight years. He attended St. Jude School and Joliet Catholic High school. He was a free spirit and enjoyed walking on the wild side. He was happy to be able to live his dream of racing cars. At Robert"s request cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to be used according to the families wishes would be appreciated.
The family of Robert W. Popovich invites relatives and friends to join them for a visitation at the funeral home on Monday June 29, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM.
