Robert F. Lilek ""Bob"" Age 84, at rest Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Loving father of Robert J. ""Bert"" (Beth) Lilek, Mary Jo (Martin) Bernardi, dearest grandfather of Matthew and Amy Lilek, Michael and Peter Bernardi, one brother Eugene (Loretta) Lilek. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (nee Videtich) Lilek, parents Anthony and Josephine (nee Ivnik) Lilek, two brothers Norman (Eleanor) and William (Patricia) Lilek. Robert was born in Joliet and a life-long resident. Retired from Joliet Herald News after 49 years of service, he was WWII US Navy veteran serving in the Pacific Theater, member of St. Joseph Holy Name Society, St. Joseph #2 KSKJ, AFU #66, Joliet Moose #300, Cantigny Post VFW #367 and Southside Civic Club. Donations to St. Joseph Church in his name would be appreciated.
Visitation will be Friday morning at the funeral home from 9AM until prayer services at 10:30, then will proceed to St. Joseph Church Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. St. Joseph Holy Name will meet at 10AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery
