Robert James Kantor, Jr. "Skip," 55 of Joliet, IL succumbed to cancer at home surrounded by his family on November 29, 2014.
Robert is survived by the mother of his children, Janet; son Matthew (Jerren); daughter Tiffany (Richard) De Nieuwe; son Edward (Courtney) Kantor; Mother Edna Kantor; sister Stacie (Mike) Gray; and grandchildren, Mia, AJ, Addisyn, Abel and Ryder. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert James Kantor, Sr.
Robert was born on October 22, 1959 in Chicago and graduated from Schurz High School in 1978. He then went on to the US Navy until being honorably discharged. He married his sweetheart, Janet in 1986. He was employed by Peoples Gas for nine years and then turned his love for the open road into a career and accumulated three million miles accident free. As an avid sports lover, his main passion was the game of hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks. Robert was a great person whom always leant a helping hand, comforting shoulder and a good laugh.

Visitation for Robert James Kantor, Jr. will be on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 3-8 p.m. Please contact the family for interment arrangements.
