Rita L. Hibler

Rita L. Hibler (nee Nitz), age 97, peacefully at rest on Monday, October 19, 2015.
Rita is survived by her three sons, Arnold (Joan), Kenneth (Sherry), and Jeffrey (Ivy) Hibler; three grandchildren, Ken (Leann) Hibler, Michelle (Bob) Jankowski, and Brian (Tanya) Hibler; five great grandchildren, Devinn, Jake, and Max Jankowski and Kaylee and Kendall Hibler; as well as step grandchildren, numerous step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Arnold E. Hibler; parents, Theodore and Marie (nee Grabus) Nitz; brother, Ted (Anne); sister, Wanda (Michael) Knoll; granddaughter, Debbie Hibler; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Hibler.
Rita was a lifetime resident of Joliet and Parishioner at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet. She loved dogs, playing cards, baking her famous potica, and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks everyone to perform a random act of kindness in Rita's memory.
A Celebration of Rita's life will begin on Friday, October 23, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL 60435. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Per Rita's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
