Richard M. Wojnarowski, born April 12, 1936 in Joliet, a t rest February 19, 2017, at the Joliet Area Hospice Home after a hard-fought battle with M.D.S.
Survived by his beloved wife of more than fifty-seven years, Ann L. (Brozovich) Wojnarowski. Loving father of Judy (Randy) Halsne, Thomas (Sally) Wojnarowski, Timothy (Karen) Wojnarowski, Daniel (Dawn) Wojnarowski, Linda (Bill) Sontag, beloved grandfather of Jessica (Kurt) Bendoraitis, Joshua, Michael, Claire, Andrew and Adam Wojnarowski, Teresa and Brian Halsne. Also survived by sister-in-law, Jane (Harold) Schrank; step-brothers, Eugene (Lou, deceased), Casimir (Marian) Gawenda and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Carl V. and Elizabeth (Kunke) Wojnarowski; cherished granddaughter, Kristi Sontag; sisters, Alfrieda Kuhajda and Eleanore Wojnarowski; step-brother, Edward (Loretta) Gawenda; step-sisters, Harriet (Ben) Wild (Joseph Kopernik), Cecilia (Stanley) Stanek and Eugenia (John) Ritter; brother-in-law, Tony (Virginia) Brozovic.
Rich was a life-long resident of Joliet. He was employed in the printing industry for over 40 years. He was a long-time member of St. Mary Magdalene parish and was a past member of St. Mary Magdalene School Board and Holy Name Society. He was a graduate of St. Thaddeus grade school and Joliet Township High School. Rich coached boy’s baseball for many years at Belmont Little League, Ingalls Park Colt League, and girls basketball at St. Mary Magdalene School. He enjoyed going to God’s country in Northern Wisconsin to fish and spend time in nature. Rich was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for eight years. Rich instilled a love of God, country and sports in his children and grandchildren.
Rich requested his remains be donated to the Anatomical Gift Association.

A celebration of Rich’s life will begin on Saturday, February 25, 2017 with a memorial visitation at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m.
