Richard A. Sienko

Richard A. Sienko, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Marilyn (nee Lockwood) Sienko; children, Debra Lee and Richard Sienko Jr., Cheryl (the late David) Storch, Todd (Lisa) Banister, Vernel Banister Jr., Philip (Sandra) Banister and Blaine (Cheerie) Banister; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Marvin) Hank; brothers, Fred (Maxine) Sienko and Bernard (Bonnie) Sienko; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (nee Hrebenak) Sienko.

Richard was born and raised in Joliet and was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad and retired from BNSF after 33 years of service. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home or Bible Baptist Church of Romeoville would be appreciated.

A celebration of Richard’s life will begin on Saturday, August 26, 2017 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, Pastor Alan Muxlow officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Hills of Rest .
