Richard F. Holub, age 86. Passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday, October 1, 2010. Born on July 29, 1924 survived by his beloved wife Marietta (Davin) Holub of 65 years. Loving father of Richard (Barbara), Edward (Laurel), April (Robert) Paetkae, Jeffrey, and Cindy (George) Smith. Dearest grandfather of Kenneth, Lorina, Tiffany, Edward, Jeffery, Robert, Ashley, Jeffrey, George, Meagan, Matthew, James, Jessica, and Steven. Fond brother of Stuart (Patti) Bledsoe and Laverne Spears. Preceded in death by his mother Katherine Kuehn (nee Fleseras) and his father Frank Holub. Retired from Beldens MFG. Co. (Chicago) and GTE (Northlake). He served in World War II, Army Air Corps 450th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force, 722nd Squadron 1943-1945 in Italy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 422, VFW Post 2378 Berwyn, Bellwood Moose Lodge and Hickory Hills Rod and Gun Club (Plainfield). His family would like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name to the charity of donors choice.
A Celebration of Richard"s Life will be held on Monday, October 4, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park. Visitation Sunday from 3-9 PM
