Raymond P. Yasko passed away peacefully August 25, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by his family.
Born September 21, 1929 in Joliet, IL. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a former employee of Illinois Bell Telephone retiring after 38 years of service. He later worked part time for J.D. Brown and Co.
Ray was a warm, loving, supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed the company of his family, a good book, and good food.
Ray was married for 66 years to the love of his life, Marian (nee Kundid). Together they raised three daughters whom he adored; Catherine (Robert "Blackie") Blackburn and Joy (David Curtis) of Joliet and Sue (Benita Benigni) of Portland, OR. He was a loving and generous grandfather to Jason Blackburn (Kim Bechtolt-Zweibohmer) of Portland, OR and Gabriel Blackburn of Chicago, IL.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (nee Onofrey); brother, John Jr.; and nephew, Ricky;
He is survived by his twin brother, Richard Yasko of Elwood, IL, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom meant a great deal to him and gave him great joy.

Funeral services for Raymond will begin on Monday, August 29, 2016 with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of chapel service at 1:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Interment of cremated remains at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Per Raymond’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
