Raymond J. Wilda
November 19, 1930 — March 25, 2016
Raymond J. Wilda, age 85, of Joliet, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home after a brief battle with Kidney Disease.
Survived by his four sons, Mike (Karen), Pat (Kathy), Dan (Sue), Steve (fiancé Dawn Shepardson); two daughters, Ginny (Bob) Babecki, Peggy (Gary) Medlyn; one sister, Ida Nelson; also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia (2000), daughter, Luanne Groeschel (1993), infant grandson Bruce Wilda (1975); and grandson Patrick Wilda (2015); parents, Richard and Amanda (nee Kettwig) Wilda; two sisters, Elaine Dearie, Josephine Kinzler; seven brothers, Richard (Earl), Paul, Norbert, Donald, Lawrence, Bernard, and Ralph.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or National Kidney Foundation in Raymond’s name would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Raymond’s life will begin on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2212 McDonough St, Joliet. There will be NO services held at the funeral home. Per Raymond’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
