Raymond W Budzinski

April 13, 1955 — February 19, 2021

Raymond W. Budzinski, age 65, passed away at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, February 19, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (nee Dunn); children, Brian and Michael (Anna Martinez) Budzinski; granddaughter, Mia; two step-grandchildren, Natasha and Axel Martinez; siblings, Kathy (Frank) Henriksen and Sandy (Randy) Calcaterra; numerous nieces, nephews, one great-niece and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond G. and Viola (nee Elwood) Budzinski.

Ray was a graduate of Providence Catholic High School (class of 74’). He retired from Caterpillar Co. after over 30 years of dedicated service. Ray was very active in his children’s lives, from coaching baseball and numerous other sports to spending time on the river and outdoors with them. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing, and spending time with a cold beer on the river with family and friends were his greatest joys. He will be truly missed by all.

Raymond's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Burhani, Dr. Bandekar and all of the nurses and staff at Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates (JOHA) for the loving care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Per Ray’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.
