Raymond J. Vicic USN Retired At rest, Thursday, September 1, 2005 at his home, with his family by his side. Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Irene (nee Likovich) Vicic. Loving father of; Cindy (Don) Olson, Tim (Carol), Randy and Larry Vicic, and Paula (Anthony) Sraj. Dearest grandfather of; Abby and Jillian Vicic, Taylor and Matthew Vicic, Jacob, Amber and Ryan Vicic, and Mackenzie and A.J. ""Tony Joe"" Sraj. Five sisters; Mae (late Virgil) Frank, Helen (Bill) Przybylski, Loretta (late Joe) Fuchs, Vivian (late Jack) Rigel, and Audrey (Joe) Ventura. One brother, Robert (Joyce) Vicich. Four sisters-in-law; Mary (late Elmer), Sara Lee (late Albert), Eleanor (late Roy), and Ann (late Leonard) Vicich. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Preceded by one son, Danny Ray Vicic; his parents, Joseph and Johanna (nee Sitar) Vicic; three sisters, Jean Vliek, Sylvia and Rosemary Vicic; nine brothers; Joseph, Christopher, John, Elmer, Albert, Edwin, Roy, Leonard, and Hubert Vicich. Raymond was born in Joliet, and resided in the Joliet and Crest Hill areas throughout most of his lifetime. Retired from the U.S. Navy, after 20 years of service, and then retired from the city of Crest Hill in 1985, also after 20 years of service. A member of V.F.W. CAntigny Post #367, and Harwood Post #5. Raymond was also a member of the Fleet Reserve and Joliet Rivals Club. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, where Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of Cantigny Post #367. Visitation and Video Tribute will be TODAY, FRIDAY from 2-8 PM, and Saturday Morning from 8:30 AM until time of services.
