Raymond C. Stimac

Raymond C. Stimac Sr., age 91, entered eternal life on Monday, November 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Viola (nee Porfolio) Stimac; loving children, Raymond Jr. (Sue) and Larry (the late Elizabeth) Stimac; cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Debbie), Jeremy (Heather), Patrick, and Jason (Carla) Stimac; cherished great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylee, Taylor, and C.J.; dear sister, Carol (Jerry) Bebar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Veronica (nee Malnar) Stimac; brothers, Frank Jr. "Sty" (Christie), Rudy (Josephine), Joe (Mae), Bill (Jessie), and Ralph Stimac; sisters, Agnes (Herman) Zefran, Marie (Joe) Cherven, and Bernadine (Frank) Bostjancic.

Raymond was a proud Army veteran of World War II. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caretakers and staff of VITAS Hospice especially, Debbie, Ray, William, Roxanne, and Joyce as well as the caretakers and staff of The Cottages of New Lenox.

Donations may be made, in Raymond's name, to VITAS Hospice.

A Celebration of Raymond's life will begin on Monday, November 10, 2014 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
