Raymond Page, age 77, passed away peacefully Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home.
Born in Joliet, the son of the late Cory Page and the late Anne Page (nee Jelinek), Ray graduated in 1957 from Joliet Catholic High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Education from Lewis University and a Master's in Mathematics from Marquette University.
Ray was a retired Joliet Township High School mathematics teacher and built several Joliet homes with his students through the Building Trades program.
Ray enjoyed being a carpenter and was skilled in woodworking. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially on vacation in Hayward, WI.
Ray was the loving husband of Jean Page for 56 years; devoted father of Greg (Becky) Page, Jill (Mike) Wise, Nikki (Tom) Knapp, Matthew (Sarah) Page, and Brian (Jessica) Page; cherished grandfather of seventeen grandchildren: Madeleine, Emily, and Mitchell Page; Jacob (Ashley), Mic, and Rayanne Wise; Brooke, Drew, Doug, and Mark Knapp; Addison, Grant, and Aubrey Page; Owen, Liam, Abigail, and Eleanor Page; proud great-grandfather of Anna Rae Wise; dear brother-in-law of Delores Page, Mary Krasovec, Lorraine Brown, Barbara Jenco, and Joe (Janis) Jencon; and loving nephew of Ann Jelinek. Ray is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Page; and sister, Shirley Page.

A Celebration of Raymond’s life will begin on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with words of remembrance and prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
