Raymond J. Marso
Age 89. At rest Monday, November 1, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Survived by his daughter, Deborah R. Marso and his son, Edward R. Marso (fiancA�?A�AC.e Nancy Madziarczyk), sister-in-law Dolores (late brother Donald) Marso, nephews Jim and Joe Marso, nieces Joan Marso, Joyce (Jack) Wolever, Julie (John) Aguiniga, Janine (Tim) Hemig, all of California, and Sharon (Fausto) Lazo of Clairsville, Ohio, as well as cousins Leroy, Kay, and Alicia Pemble.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth ""Betty"" (nee Vancina) Marso, and his parents Sylvester and Susan (nee Iverson) Marso.
Raymond was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran. He was born and raised in Joliet. Before retirement he was self-employed at Marso"s Standard Service for many years.
Thank you to Dr. Divyesh Bhatt, Dr. Punit Vajaria, and all of the people who have taken care of Raymond at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Also, thank you to special family friend Frieda Clausen. Raymond will be dearly missed by all of his relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Raymond"s Life will begin on Thursday, November 4 with prayers at 10:30 AM, then in procession to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
