Raymond E. Kezele, age 89, at rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident of the Joliet and Crest Hill areas. Ray proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the destroyer USS Chauncey 667. He was a member of the VFW Cantigny Post #367. Ray enjoyed his fishing trips to White Eagle Resort on Lake Vermilion with his family. He also enjoyed golf, bowling, and woodworking. Ray was a wonderful husband to the late Helen (2010).
Ray is survived by his children, David (Jean), Dan, Judy, Don, Dennis (Michelle) Kezele, and Nancy (Sean) Reardon; grandchildren, Brian (Sue) Kezele, Stacey Adams, Kari (Zeb) Freeman, Gina Talarico, and Jimmy (Melinda) Talarico; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Gabe, Rylan, Brycen, Braden, Naya, Raina, and Zander; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen; parents, Michael and Barbara (nee Racki); brothers, Mike, Richard, and Walter; sisters, Mary Biernat, Molly Stogis, Marge Gonda, Delores Wrona, and Helen and Virginia Kezele.
Memorial donations in Raymond’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
