Ralph E. Hibler

Age 81, died suddenly on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late Matt and Mary (nee Zema) Hibler, he was a lifelong resident. He was in the grocery and meat business for many years in Joliet. Later he owned and operated the Minooka Food Mart. He was an avid supporter of the Minooka School System. After retiring from the business he worked for D & S Foods in Morris. He loved motorcycles, bowling and gardening. He is survived by his devoted wife Frances (nee Bauc) Hibler; one daughter Paula (Richard) Norris and one son Ralph Hibler; one granddaughter Patricia Hibler; one sister Lois Shugarts of Beloit, WI. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers Edward, Michael, James, William, Raymond and Elmer Hibler (in infancy); four sisters Mary Rudman, Julia Padley, Frances Madden and Helen Ferringer.

A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 3-8 PM. Private interment services will be held.
