Age 66, at rest Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at RML Specialty Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife of twenty five years Kathleen E. (nee Evans) Aharrah, loving father of Becky (Ken) Velasquez, Matthew (Barbara) Aharrah, Debra Lee, Rich Sienko and dearest grandfather to eight grandchildren; Logan, Hayley and Cameron Velasquez, Melissa, Jacob and Madison Aharrah, Nicole Stanley and Brandon Lee, two sisters Sandra (Ray) Myers and Kay (Jim) Henderson, three brothers Charles (Lois), Larry (Leanna) and Sam (Ginny) Aharrah, one sister-in-law Lila (Late Darwin) Aharrah also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by parents Charles and Mabel (nee Ewing) Aharrah, One sister at Infancy Rebecca Aharrah and one brother Darwin Aharrah. Perry was born in Brookville, PA, resided in the Joliet area throughout most of his lifetime. He worked as a radio announcer for WAJP in Joliet and worked for CTC. Retired in 2004 from Motorola after 22 years of service, then worked part time since his retirement for ESS Security, also was a Ham Radio Operator for many years (WA9IMB). Perry enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and the Steelers. He also loved attending and taping all of the grandchildrens" sporting events. Please omit flowers.
Chapel services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM Interment Plainfield Cemetery Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
