Passed peacefully on Thursday 12/08/22 with her daughters by her side listening to a recording of her brother Joey singing ‘Be Not Afraid’. She spent the last year of her life enjoying time spent with her great-grandchildren lovingly called Grandma Peddy by the younger ones or as Kam would call her ‘Grandma Pegs’ and Alani called her ‘Grandma Cough.’ Every grandchild and great grandchild received a blanket upon birth that she crocheted, which for some it became their favorite blanky. There are also numerous other lucky babies that also received the same type of lovingly handmade blanket. She even made sure to make a stash for any future babies.

She leaves behind four daughters and one step-daughter to cherish her memories.  Chrissy (Greg) Rucker, Julie Williams, Sara Godina, Lisa (Clarence Carter) Godina and Cassie Pokarney.  Thirteen grandchildren…Justin, Jeremy, Tyteanna, Greg, Antonio, Marcus, Jalen, Diamond, Eboni, Christopher, Kendell, Dallas, Isaiah. Twenty-two great grandchildren. One special sister Joany and three other sisters and one brother.

Welcomed with open arms by her oldest daughter Carrie, oldest granddaughter Jazzmine, great-grandson Jayceon. Her parents Lenard and Anna Mae. Two brothers Jimmy and Danny.

Thank you to the most amazing and wonderful nurses and staff at Lightways Hospice. To them they may just being doing a job but to the families they are truly Angels on earth.
