Pedro A�??Pete/Big PeteA�?i�� Rodriguez, age 50, of Joliet formerly of Chicago, at rest on Friday, April 12, 2013. Loving husband of Linda S. (nee Barron); dear father of Rene (Felicia Salinas) Rodriguez; devoted grandfather of Liliana Paloma Rodriguez; son of Petra Gonzalez; brother of Carmen A�??DarA�?i�� Garcia, Minerva (Pete) Andriotis, Ted (Norma Rice) Rodriguez, Jr., Carlos (Aurora) Garcia; son-in-law of Josephine Barron; uncle of Rolando, Lisa, Anthony, Joel, Michelle and Daniel; special cousin of Oscar, Sylvia, Gloria, Jimmy and Lisa; dear friend of Benny Flores; also survived by numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews and good friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Theodore Rodriguez, Sr. and his grandparents.

Pete was a loving husband to his wife Linda of 30 years, a loving father to his son Rene and the best grandpa to his precious Liliy. Pete worked at Primus Electronics in Minooka for 13 years. He belonged to the Ravens AC and also the Moose Lodge in Rochester, IN. Pete was an avid fisherman, enjoying yearly trips with his Minnesota cousins to Lake Butterfield in Emily, Minnesota and weekends at his A�??little piece of heavenA�?i�� his home on Lake Manitou in Rochester, Indiana. He is sure to be missed by the fish that he would catch and release. Pete was a huge Chicago sports fan. Pete had a contagious smile; he was fun loving and always the life of the party. There are not enough words to describe Pete. He holds a special place in many hearts and he will always be remembered by the lives he touched.

Dr. Bhuvan Chawla for the special care given to Pete, and a special thank you to his nephew Robert Medina.

A Celebration of PeteA�??s life will begin on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
