Paul T. Yack “Terry” “Yacko,” age 67, at rest on Monday, April 15, 2024 with his loving wife by his side.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sharon (nee Lesnik); sons, Brook Melvin and Jason Lakotich; grandchildren, Haley and Aron Melvin, David, Amanda, Karla and Natalie Ceja and Kelsey Fortman; his “little buddies” Savannah Nabors (great-granddaughter) and Rachel Martinez (great-niece); and one aunt, Geraldine Timm; nieces and nephews, Pam Bick, Randy and Tami Platt, Chip and Cara Adler, Jeff and Natalie Adler as well as numerous others. Paul also leaves behind his dear friends from childhood, Jim Blackburn, Andy June, Kent King, “lil sis” Laura Vranich and countless others.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. Yack and Kathlyn (Hoyland) Yack; sisters, Karen Thomas and Kathy DeSandre; and nephew, Patrick Smith.
Paul graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. He enjoyed spending time with his faithful companion, Moose and found great solace on the water casting a line.
Yacko will be remembered for his unwavering love for family and friends, his infectious laughter that lit up any room he entered. His genuine nature and compassionate spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Yacko’s life will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the Croatian Cultural Club, 1503 Clement Street, Joliet, IL 60435 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please wear your favorite T-shirt.
