Paul C. Fisher Sr. “Fish”, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 suddenly in his home with his loving wife by his side.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Lynn (nee Westborg) Fisher; loving children, Paul Jr. (Katie) Fisher, Christine ( Robert) Tittle, Sarah (Bobby Huston) Fisher; beloved grandchildren; Nathan and Jonah Fisher, Caryssa and Renee Tittle, Laverne Smith IV, and Helena Huston; mother, Rita Fisher; three siblings, Leonard (Ileana) Fisher, Mary (Robert) Grenchik and Joan (Wesley) Winkler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his father, Leonard Fisher.
Paul was a 1973 graduate of Joliet Township Central High School. He was a proud veteran and had a fierce patriotism about him. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977 on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. Paul later went on to work for ComEd / Midwest Generation and the Boilermaker Union Local 1. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1080 and the Moran A.C. Paul had a real passion for baseball, golf, American muscle cars and rock n' roll. He loved to strike a conversation with anyone that he met. He was a real child-at-heart and could not go anywhere without knowing someone. He was a genuine people person. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Paul’s life will begin on Monday, February 13, 2017 with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet). A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Burial at a later date. At the request of Paul's wishes, cremations rites have been accorded.
