Paul J. Dubrovich of Joliet, age 80, passed away on April 12, 2025. Paul was born May 7, 1944 to John and Pauline (nee Grizincic) Dubrovich in Joliet, IL.
Paul was a resident of Joliet for most of his life. He spent the bulk of his career as a proud union Pipe Fitter, retiring from Local 597 in 2006 with thirty-five years of service. He was also very proud of his service as a member of the United States Army from 1961-1964. Paul enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, and hiking with his family. He was a skilled woodworker, and loved to spend time with his loved ones at family gatherings. Paul had a joyful disposition and a quick smile to accompany his sharp sense of humor. He truly loved his children and grandchildren, and he will be missed dearly by his beloved family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and John, as well as his brothers Mike, George, John, and Frank (Mitzi) Dubrovich.
He is survived by his two children Mande (Dwight) Larson of Indiana and Joseph (Amy) Dubrovich of Custer Park, IL; his grandchildren Nick Larson, Hayley (Jonathan) Braun, Nate Larson, Daniel Larson, Hannah Dubrovich, Lily Dubrovich, and Aidan Dubrovich; as well as his sister Rose McGinn and his Goddaughter Renee Hurstik (nee Ludeman). Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and other loved ones also survive.
Funeral services were entrusted to Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life and interment with full military honors took place in a private ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
