Patrick Michael Liker

March 17, 1944 — December 11, 2007

Dad died peacefully with his family by his side at the Joliet Hospice Home, following a valiant battle the last six months. Patrick was born and raised in Joliet residing in Coal City the last five years. He attended St. Mary"s Nativity School and Joliet Township High School.

He is survived by his devoted children. Two beloved daughters Deborah (Michael/Duke) Durando, Barbara (Daniel) Ruffatto, all of Coal City and his beloved son Andrew (finance Susie Cherry) of Joliet. His five wonderful grandchildren Taylor Nicole and Dominic Andrew Durando, Victoria Barbara (Tori) and Daniel Joseph Ruffatto all of Coal City and Alexis Jade Liker of Joliet. His devoted ex-wife and caregiver Madge Liker of Joliet.

Also surviving his loving brother and sister, Raymond (Darlene) Likar of Fl. and Donna (Angelo) Gilroy of Joliet, and a stepbrother Robert (Robin) Triner also of Fl.

Patrick was preceded in death by His father Andrew 1967 and mother Antonia 1962 also a nephew Timothy Likar 1985. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Patrick was employed at GAF Corporation in Joliet for over 17 years; Alumax Corporation for 10 years and then he worked beside his beloved neighborhood son Kurt Johnson at Wrecks Auto Rebuilders in Crest Hill. He retired in 1999 when he was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer.

He was a member of the Morans A.C. and the Ravens Club in Joliet. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his ""Bluff Street"" buddies and talking about the good old days.

His attitude and spunk will be missed by the many people who"s lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patrick"s name to the Joliet Hospice Home would be appreciated.

Tezak"s Home to Celebrate Life

From where services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-7 PM.
