Patricia Ann (Smith) Mullen

Patricia Ann Mullen (nee Smith), age 85, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Patricia is survived by her loving children, Michael (the late Denise) Mullen, Barbara (Walter) Sledz and William (Wendy) Mullen; grandchildren, Martin Mullen, Madeline Mullen and Edward Roach, Walter (Andrea) Sledz, Daniel Sledz, William Mullen, Michael Mullen, Sara Mullen and Sean Mullen; great-grandson, Carter Sledz; numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who became family over the years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Martin Mullen; children, Martin Mullen and Janet (Thomas) Rauscher; and parents, James and Vera (nee Beil) Smith.

Patricia retired from the Teamsters Local # 710 after 30 years of service. She was an avid shopper who loved spoiling her family. Throughout the years Patricia never had an empty house. Her door was always open. She took in countless people who she enjoyed caring for and welcoming to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s name to Sacred Heart Church, 11652 South Church Street, Chicago, IL 60643 would be appreciated.

The family invites relatives and friends to gather on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church, 11652 S. Church Street, Chicago, IL 60643 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:30 a.m. A celebration of Patricia’s life will follow the Mass in the church reception hall from 10:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date. There will be no funeral home services.
