Patricia A. Lukancic (nee Collins) Born June 09, 1940, died August 5, 2011 after a long illness.

She is preceded in death by her father Joseph W. Collins and her mother Martha Collins (nee Seibert) and one brother Charles (Carolyn Collins nee Schwab of Appleton, Wisconsin) along with three brothers-in-law Clarence Murphy, Ray Valerugo and Robert Bechler a sister-in-law Emma Bechler nee Lukancic.

Patricia is survived by her husband James J. Lukancic, a daughter Patricia Ann Petersen (Doug), two sons James P. Lukancic (Joy) and John J. Lukancic (Tracy), nine grandchildren Anna and Anthony Petersen, Joseph, Sydney and Daniel Lukancic, and Mckena, Ella Rae, Liam and Marie Elizabeth Lukancic along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia is also survived by two brothers Peter Collins (Carm) and Joseph E. Collins (Carol), sisters-in-law Lillian Murphy, Helen Valerugo (the late Ray), Angela Zaida (Walter), Mildred Monroe (Kent) and Mary Ann Lukancic; along with two brothers-in-law Louis Lukancic (Barbara) and John Lukancic (Anna Mae).

Patricia worked as an emergency room nurse at Silver Cross Hospital for many years leaving the nursing profession to raise her three children. After rearing her children she worked as a pre-school teacher at the Joliet Park District for many years until her retirement. At Patricia"s request cremation rites were accorded. The family of Patricia A. Lukancic invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating a memorial visitation at the funeral home Friday morning August 12, 2011 from 9AM to 11AM. Private family inurnment services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
