Patricia L. Hoffman (nee’ Krall)
“Pat”
Age 78 of Diamond, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Pat was most proud of her children and grandchildren, they were her greatest joy. She retired from State Farm Insurance as a secretary and with her new found free time took on many activities. Pat was an avid birder and enjoyed doing annual bird counts with her fellow birders. Pat loved watching birds and could identify so many just by their bird calls. Pat was a member of numerous clubs including the Wilmington Recreation Club for over 55 years, the Will County Audubon and the book club with the Braidwood Library. She also did volunteer work at outdoor settings such as Lake Renwick Preserve and served as a docent to inspire others and share her love of birds and nature.
Along with her many interests and memberships, Pat also had many hobbies and talents including taxidermy work, but most of all her gardening. She was a master gardener and her green thumb was above all else. She loved to share her talents and would share many amazing plants and vegetation with friends and family. Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Tracy (Robert) Sarsfield and George Henry Hoffman, IV (Amy Ketner); grandchildren: Kaity Sarsfield, Jacob Sarsfield and Henry Hoffman; siblings: Donald E. (Virginia) Krall, Richard M. (Luann) Krall, Sr. Mary Lee Krall, S.C. and Stefanie Krall; nieces and nephews: Don (Danaka) Krall and their children: Tyler Worek and Kelly Krall, and Aaron (Aimee) Krall and their children: Graham and Renee’; nephew: Ben Krall (Jackie Palmer) and Ben’s son: Jack, as well as nieces: Diana and Lacey Drummond and Amy Firkins.
Pat was preceded in death by her life partner: Robert “Gus” Gaston; parents: Edna and Richard; sisters: Nancy Joan Krall and Janet (the late John) Houdek, and the father of her children: George Henry Hoffman, III.
Per Pat’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of closing prayers at 4:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.
