Parmillia G. Elens

Parmillia G. Elens (nee Champoux), age 91, entered into eternal life on November 17, 2011.
Survived by her loving daughter Diane (Robert) Dow; grandchildren Robert Jr. (Elizabeth), Thomas (Colleen), Kimberly (Jerry) Lankford and Christopher (Amy) Dow; 8 great-grandchildren, Mike, Will, Claire, and Dulce Dow; Katie Dow, Jon Lankford; Ben and Emily Dow.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Neal Elens; sister Marie (Leonard) Stuppy; brothers Myron (Katherine), Wilford Jr. (Ardys), James (Betty), Francis Champoux; parents Wilford Sr. and Katherine (Hanley) Champoux. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pam was a retired teacher, she shared her lifelong love of learning with her family and also with her students for over 30 years in various communities. In her later years, she could often be found in the library or reading at her desk.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Cathedral of St. Raymond School or Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home 1201 Wyoming Ave. Joliet. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services. Inurnment to Resurrection Cemetery.
