Pamela (nee Richmond) Apgar passed away August 31, 2017, in the comfort of Hospice surrounded by loved ones, after losing her fight against brain cancer.
Pamela was preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Jacqueline (nee Horak) Richmond.
She was the beloved wife of Jeff Apgar and loving mother of Erica and Alexandra White. She was also the adored 'Grammy Bear' to her granddaughter Saleah Nichole. She leaves behind her sister, Heidi Wolf; nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Arielle, and Cassandra Wolf; also survived her by cousins, Kim Jackson and Mark Elsager. She also leaves behind many prayer warriors, friends, and brave people who fought cancer beside her.
She was a native of Glendale, CA and a resident of Berwyn, IL before moving and settling in Joliet, IL where she passed. Pam was an expert of billiards with a passion for gardening and loved the Greenbay Packers. Her heart was big and open to anyone who needed a friend. She was brave and full of gratitude even through her fight. She spent her free time nurturing her garden and helping with many volunteer events for good causes. Pam always wanted to help someone in need when she could.
The sun did shine a little brighter with her around so family and friends are invited to honor her memory enjoying a sunny day following her memorial service Sunday, September 24th 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road - Joliet, IL 60435). Visitation will be from noon until the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, condolences be offered as donation to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Brain Tumor Association.
