Osvaldo "Red" Hernandez, age 42, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 22, 2014.
Red is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (nee Munoz); brothers, Gabriel (Patricia Contreras) Hernandez and Juan M. (Yolonda Munoz) Hernandez. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Alyssa N. Hernandez (2002); parents, Eusebio and Basilia Hernandez.
Red was a very caring and loving husband, father and brother and was a great provider for his family. He was the one in the family who made everyone laugh. He enjoyed getting together with all of his family and friends for any occasion. Red will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Red's life will begin on Friday, September 26, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 205 E. Jackson St., Joliet, IL 60432 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
