Olga T. (Papesh) Brown

Olga T. Brown (nee Papesh), age 83, of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 21, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Glenn E. Brown, Sr., on August 26, 2012. Olga is also preceded in death by her loving daughter, Paula Rae Brown; parents, John and Anna Papesh and seven brothers and one sister.

Survived by her loving children, Roseann (Larry) Fiarman, Mary Kay Bregar, Glenn (Terri) Brown Jr., Peggy Sue (Kurt) Stalzer, Lori Brown and Michael Brown; her precious grandchildren, David and Ariele Fiarman, Mike, Paul and Kaylyn Bregar and Kelli and Kurt Stalzer; great-grandchildren, Adam Bregar and Zoey Rose; brother, Benny (Theresa) Papesh and sisters, Sr. Mary Flora Papesh and Mary Jane (Ron) Vergo. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She will be missed by her dear friends, Teresa DePratt, Char Pfieffer and Mary Swierz.

She was a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Olga has gone to be with her best friend and love of her life, Glenn, to celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary together, and as she put it "he better be there".

Olga was devoted to her family, friends and faith. She was a great cook and baker. We will miss all those wonderful meals and birthday cakes. Many thanks to Father John Doyle and Dr. Ramesh Patel for their guidance and healing of her soul, mind and body.

In lieu of flowers, it was Olga's wish that donations be sent to St. Ambrose Church or to Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A Celebration of Olga's life will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. A visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 am until the time of prayers at 10:30 am at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet.
