Norman R. Hall, age 87, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 1, 2016 surround by his beloved and cherished family. He was born on July 19, 1928 in Streator, IL to Mark and Clara (nee Woodward) Hall. He moved to Joliet in 1959. Norman was a corporal and veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Commonwealth Edison after 44 years of service.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Catherine (nee Grako) and their children, Patricia and Mark (Amy). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Smith.
Norman was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post #5 and VFW. Norman loved being outside and working around the yard and gardens that he designed. His family meant everything to him. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Norman’s life will begin on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood, IL. Interment to be held privately at St Mary’s Cemetery in Streator, IL. There will be no services held at the funeral home.
