Norma M. Lesh

Norma Mildred Lesh (nee Burns) age 95, passed into eternal life on Wednesday,April 24, 2013. She is survived by her family and dear friends.

Beloved mother to Doreen (Robert B.) Swanson, Frank E. (Janice) Lesh, John T. (Charlotte) Lesh; fond grandmother to Jennifer (Todd) Kimrey, Matthew Lesh, Catherine Lesh, and Anna Lesh; Special great-grandmother to Rachel, Noah, Lonna and Soleil.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Lesh (1988) and her parents, Joseph and Dorian Braun Burns. Norma is also survived by her loyal animal friends including her beloved beagle, Mac.

She has lived in Joliet her entire life and was educated in the Joliet schools for grade school, high school, and junior college. She helped to manage and work in the family business, Burns Coal Company, in the 1930A�??s through the early 1960A�??s. Norma continued to work in the bookkeeping and accounting fields through her employment with Kmart, Joseph Rosich Accounting and Tax Services, and Gassensmith and McCarthy CPA Accounting firms.

Norma was active in her churches, First and Santa Cruz Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed many social and philanthropic clubs and activities most currently WELCA at First Lutheran Church and the Joliet WomanA�??s Club.

A celebration of NormaA�??s life will begin on Saturday, June 8, 2013 with a memorial visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at First and Santa Cruz Lutheran Church, 55 West Benton Street in Joliet, Illinois.
