Norberta Marie Hare

Norberta Marie Hare of Joliet, age 64, passed away peacefully while under the expert care of Lightways Hospice in Joliet on February 19, 2025. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 29, 1961.

Norberta was a graduate of Homewood Flossmoor High School before relocating to Joliet where she met her husband, Michael Hare. Michael and Norberta shared twenty-eight happy years together before her passing. She enjoyed working on Word Searches and coloring in her free time, loved to watch Little House on the Prairie and the Madea movies, was passionate about Halloween as her favorite holiday, and she loved to laugh. She was unquestionably the one great love of Michael’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Julie Verbinsky.

Norberta is survived by her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Michael Thomas Hare; four brothers; one sister; and many close friends and staff members at Cornerstone Services also survive.

A service will be held in Norberta’s memory at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 655 Springfield Ave, Joliet, IL 60435 on Saturday, March 01, 2025 at 10:00 am.
