Fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born in Joliet on October 2, 1924.

Norbert is survived by his, daughter Connie (Judge Gerald) Kinney; sons, Michael (Nancy) and David (Joyce) Cora; grandchildren, Christina (Kevin) Troc, Brian Kinney, Jonathan (Laura), Natalie, and Nicholas (Jacquie-fiancA�AC.) Cora, Jennifer (fiancA�AC.e Thomas), Nicole (Jeff) Kazen, and Melissa Cora; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Lorena, Katrina, Shane and Irene.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife and the love of his life of 67 years, Irene Cora; his parents, Angelo and Appolonia (nee Sartori) Cora.

Norbert was a proud United States Navy Veteran, serving during World War II on a LST 221 in the South Pacific. Upon returning from service marrying his high school sweetheart Irene (nee Mitrovich) in 1946. Cofounder of Dellwood Tire with his brother-in-law John Mitrovich in 1948. Toward the end of his life, Norbert converted to the Eastern Orthodox Christian Faith.

Donations in Norbert's name to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

The family invites relatives and friends to gather at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Joliet on Monday, May 19, 2014 for a funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 3-8 p.m. with a flag ceremony at 6:00pm and a Pomen service being held at 7:00pm.
