Nicholas A. Bravato

Nicholas A. Bravato, age 63, at rest on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn (nee Startz); two beautiful daughters, Brittany and Samantha Bravato; one grandson, Derek who was a wonderful 60^th birthday gift being born on Nick’s birthday; brothers, Bob (Molly), Larry (Beth), Otto, Tom (the late Barb) and John Bravato; sisters, Beverly Sanderson, Linda (the late Ken) Zbacnik, Mary Pat (John) Frye, Barbara Ludwig and Phyllis (Guy) Wimberly; sister-in-law, Oriana (the late Steve) Bravato; brothers-in-law, Robert (Ellen) Startz, Anthony Startz, James Cox; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Frank) Stec, Linda Marcolina and Judith Moats; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Betty (nee Drauden) Bravato; brother, Steve Bravato; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Constance (Williams) Startz; brothers-in-law, Michael (Bridgett) and Howard Startz; and sister-in-law, Janet Connor-Grogg. 

Nick had a remarkable life filled with love and cherished memories. He spent over 30 years working for Russell Stanley, where he made valuable contributions and built lasting relationships with colleagues and peers.

Nick took great pride in coaching his daughter's soccer and basketball teams.

Family vacations were also a special time for Nicholas. He cherished the opportunity to create lifelong memories with those he loved most. Whether it was exploring new destinations or relishing quiet moments by the beach, he understood the value of quality time spent together. 

He was a loving, kind and forgiving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

“He was the nicest guy we have ever met.”

A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Joliet Moose, 25 Springfield Ave, Joliet, IL 60435 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Per his wish’s cremation rites have been accorded.
