Nellie "Pat" (Brugnara) Klancher

Nellie Klancher “Pat” (nee Brugnara), age 96, at rest on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.

Nellie is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Raymond) Munday; son, James Klancher; grandchildren, Michael Munday, Robert (Cassandra) Klancher, Becky Klancher and Amy (Nick) Malewicki; great-grandchildren, Braleyn and Jaxson Klancher; son-in-law, Thomas (the late Patricia) Janes; and one grandpet, Nermal.

Preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Klancher (2007) ; parents, James and Marcella Brugnara; one daughter, Patricia Janes ; sister, Erma Fabian; and one brother, Alfred Brugnara.

Nellie was born in Italy, was raised in Johnson City, IL and resided in Joliet. She was a member of the Rosarians of St. Joseph Church as well as a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be truly missed.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the nurses, CNA’s and staff at Presence Villa Franciscan who cared so lovingly for Nellie.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nellie’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or for Masses to be said in Nellie’s name would be appreciated.

A celebration of Nellie’s life will begin with her family receiving relatives and friends on Monday, January 2, 2017 with a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Per Nellie’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

There will be no funeral home visitation or service.
