Nathan E. Gaines, age 41, at rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Nate is survived by his loving children, Miranda D., Nicholas R., and Logan T. Gaines, and Aubreanna Chambers; loving mother and step-father, Marlene (nee Whalen) and Charles Todd ; mother of his children, Amie Gaines; dear brothers, Timothy Todd and Brandon Gaines; dear sister, Michelle Gaines; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard Edward Gaines; brothers, Kevin and Chad Gaines.
Nate was employed at Millwright Local #1693 for 13 years. He enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows. Most of all his passion was spending time with his children, whether it be sharing his love for music at concerts, attending local Comic-con events, or any other activity that would allow them to be together. Nate will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Nate's life will begin on Friday, January 9, 2015 with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Ken Plese officiating. Per Nate's wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
